God Moved the Mountain - by Kathie Nelson

August 17th, 2009 by nora
This is a glorious morning!Nora left this morning at 5 AM with a peace that surpasses understanding.  She was so organized, even had an agenda to pass out. (she should be a lawyer).  Thanks to Todd Bush and my brother, Max for so clearly laying out an argument for us to use.  She had all her documentation (we worked all day Saturday try to get a printer to work) .  And thank you to the holy spirit for guiding Nora’s words.  She texted me at 9:30   “The mountain has been moved!”    I spoke with her and she said that they reviewed the law and have said that they would take the documentation.  They still want the cd translated, which should be done by Wednesday or Thursday of this week.  But they will pre-approve the case.   GLORY HALLELUJAH!Andres will submit the final paper work (birth certificate, passport, cd, and complete file) when the cd is translated.  Nora said the immigration lawyer she contacted in the states gave her the name of someone else to speak with if DHS is anymore trouble.   Hopefully they will be home in two weeks.Thank you all for prayers and support.  Please continue to pray for a speedy process.

About

In June of 2007 Nora and I went on a mission trip to Guatemala. We spent five days working at an orphanage in Huehuetenango, Guatemala. We built bunkbeds, painted, and loved on the children. One particular little girl named Johanna found her way into hour hearts. This website is dedicated to Johanna and documents the process of adopting her. You can read more about how we met Johanna by clicking on the Meeting Johanna link. Thank you for visiting!
