We are coming home!
Yes, we are coming home!!! Last Friday, we got another letter telling us our fingerprints had expired and I about lost it. We had our fingerprints renewed earlier this year and knew both were valid. So long story short, we (Ruth, Johana, and I…our good friend, Kailah drove in from Huehue to stay with John) went to the Embassy with our proof and a ton of questions. So the paperwork was taken and 40 minutes later DHS approved our case and sent our file over to DOS. Then we went to the Doctor for Johana’s Visa Appointment and then back to the Embassy for another meeting with the Counsel General. She was wonderful! She even asked her staff when our VISA appointment was scheduled. Our VISA appointment was scheduled for Tuesday (Sept. 1)…so Todd flew in last night. We had the appointment today at 7:30AM and we can pick the VISA up tomorrow at 3:30PM and we fly home on Thursday!!!!!! I can’t even believe it!!!! Praise the Lord! We are coming home!!!!

I share Jill’s sentiments. It has been an amazing display of God’s faithfulness to His children and your faithfulness to your children. Hope we can get together sometime in the future.

Praise God!!!! Nora and Johanna, the Lord Jesus has held onto you this whole time with His right hand and has never let go; with His left he forced His creation to let you back into the States. What is bureaucracy compared to my God? He hears our prayers, He loves us; he moves with power and victory, nothing can escape His sight.
Nora and Todd, you two are incredible. You’ve held onto Johanna and never let go. Thank you for your faith and perseverance; its a example that, although often clouded in our culture today, shines bright and testifies to the power of faith in our Lord, love for each other, and gives us hope.
Can’t wait to see this new family!

I contacted Congressman Lamar Smith’s office in TX on July 20th at your request through Linda Devault. Someone from his office contacted me today to find out if there were any updates and to explain why things are so difficult. Because she called, I looked at your blog and was able to give her the great news. Wow! What timing. Glad to be among the first to know.

That is so exciting Nora. I can’t wait to hear that your life has become normalized and that you are just enjoying being a family.

It has become an amazing & unbelievable story w/ a happy ending.
Nora & Todd you guys are heroes and I’m so happy the process came to an end. Over here everybody is talking about your return which for sure will be glorious.
For me, this moment also has a special feeling as I had the opportunity to participate in the very beginning, so I’m sure victory will have an even better taste especially when the sacrifice has been so big.
Congratulations to you both, you very well deserved it.
