We finally made it out of Family Court and are now waiting again. We are waiting on paperwork from the CNA and Family Court that will enable us to get Johana’s new birth certificate. Don’t think I will ever get used to the waiting and all the ups and downs. I have felt so many emotions daily.
Tomorrow, we head for Guatemala City, a 4-6 hour drive with our friend Kailah. My mom also flies in tomorrow night. Thrilled to have our Mimi here! In fact, we can’t wait! Will be in the city through Tuesday. Waiting on Jo’s paperwork and then taking a bus back to Huehue.

“Intercession for the Zemlers” -the Gang in Guatemala
Todd and I are so humbled and blessed by all the people that prayed Monday evening for our Adoption Process. It was an evening we will never forget! Thank you! Thank you for all the prayers! Prayers came from Guatemala and all over the USA. We just know Heaven was Flooded with Praise and Prayers! Now, we wait on the Lord. Read the rest of this entry »

Today, we learned the CNA left out a requirement in our file and the Judge from Family Court has sent our file back to the CNA. We are so disappointed, but praying the CNA will act quickly and fulfill this requirement soon. Johana went back to the Dentist and had nine teeth worked on and is doing well. Putting children under with gas instead of giving shots works a whole lot better. : ) She is watching the Letter Factory DVD and loving it right now. Our Neighbor, DeDe gave her a whole bunch of DVDs that have been perfect! John is napping. He fell twice today and has 2 bumps on his forehead. Read the rest of this entry »

Normally, I only update when there is adoption news, but today was no ordinary day and some of you have asked what my days are like here. The unexpected usually happens. Today, started with parasite/worm medicine…I will let you guess who had to take it. : ) Last night, we learned there was an attorney in the government by the name of Rosenberg who was murdered and made a video which can be viewed on the internet. The video lists his murderers and banks dealing in illegal things. Kind of like the Pelican Brief…not trying to make light of the situation, it is just so different from the USA. Todd is with us for the week! Yippee!!!!! We are loving it…when he leaves it will be me and the kids.
On Wednesday, we met with our Attorney and learned our file lacks the Director’s Signature at the CNA and then our case goes to a CNA Attorney which then goes to Family Court, RENAP, and then the US Embassy. We were also told to expect to stay another month. Please keep praying.

Thank you for your continued prayers.
This week the CNA (Guatemalan Government) pushed back because we did not have all three of our names (Todd Michael Zemler or Nora Nelson Zemler) on all of our documents. Thankfully, I looked through all of our documents and found an authenticated name affidavit. Thank you Lord! Also, the US Embassy needed a letter that gave our email address and phone numbers which needed to be notarized. Read the rest of this entry »

We moved from the Buckner Offices two weeks ago. Dorothy, Johana, John, and I are back in Huehuetenango, Guatemala. We are staying at our friends Sammy & Gale’s House. Our days are pretty slow, but we try to plan little adventures each day. It has almost been six weeks that we have been here…4 weeks without husbands. Have to admit it is getting harder to be here. Really desiring to be back in Texas and for our Family to be together again. Read the rest of this entry »

Johana is doing wonderful. It is as if she was always with us. She is full of joy and smiles alot. She loves John and is always kissing or mimicking him. She loves to run and play…watch television, do puzzles, play dolls, read, and so much more. Read the rest of this entry »
